Thanksgiving Favorites
I'm going to share my 7 favorite things about Thanksgiving. Hopefully you'll comment and tell me yours.
1) Saying what we're thankful for before we eat.
2) My Grandma Dolly's homemade stuffing recipe that my mom makes.
3) The Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.
4) There is usually a dog show on after this that we love to watch.
5) Turkey and cranberry sandwiches the next day.
6) Putting up the Christmas decorations the next day.
7) Having the whole family together even if it's just one day.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving:
1. The whole family being together, even if it's for just one day
2. Hearing what other family members are thankful for
3. The way our home smells while dinner's cooking
4. The way the table looks, after it's all set
5. Watching the dog show after the Macy's parade
6. Making my mom's stuffing recipe, and changing it just a little each year
This is a good one:
1. Like you, Kenna, saying what we're thankful for before we eat.
2. Making pies the night before.
3. The smell and taste of my dad's smoked turkey...TO DIE FOR!
4. Crazy family game nights every night of the weekend.
5. The tryptophan induced coma after the yummy meal.
6. Standing back and watching the hubub and excitement.
7. Being reminded that we are all SO tremendously blessed.
Thanksgiving Favorites For Me (in no particular order)!
1.)The newspaper with all of the fantastic ads for Black Friday Shopping! I never go since I always work on black Friday, but I love the ads! They give me good ideas for Christmas shopping.
2). I love when Kris does his turkey dance. You'd have to see it. This is my 11th Thanksgiving with him and the dance never gets old.
3.)Sitting around the table and telling wonderful stories about Kris's mom. She died on Thanksgiving, so it's a hard day. But it's fun to talk about the memories!
4.)Sometimes the whole family goes to a movie after dinner. That's always fun!
5.) Remembering my Pilgrim heritage. I'm one of very few members in the Mayflower Society. I am the direct descendant of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins! They are my great great great great (you get the picture) grandparents. Pilgrim history claims that Priscilla was the most beautiful woman on the Mayflower. Not too shabby!
6.) This year I'm Thankful to have my first Thanksgiving off work since I was 14!
7.) Turkey, potatoes, putting olives on my fingers, good wine, and pumpkin pie!
